If you’ve ever wanted to do more in helping map your community’s course for the future, then you may want to consider volunteering to serve on one of the City of Corpus Christi’s Boards, Commissions or Committees.

The City Secretary’s Office is seeking applications from those who would be interested in serving on one of 3 such advisory committees that currently have vacancies.

They include: Clean City Advisory Committee – 3 vacancies (2-Community at Large and Beautify Corpus Christi Association); City Council’s Youth Advisory Committee – 13 vacancies (High School Juniors and Seniors); Water Resources Advisory Committee – 4 vacancies (Residential Customer, Large Commercial, Military Facility, and Wholesale Treated).

In order to be considered for appointment to a committee, an applicant must be a resident of Corpus Christi at the time they apply and throughout their time of service.  Appointments are approved by the Corpus Christi City Council.

In all, more than 400 residents serve on about 50 different City Boards, Commissions and Committees.
