In the fall of 2009, Coastal Bend Community Foundation joined with eight other groups to provide $150,000 in matching funds for a one- day, internet-based campaign, called the Coastal Bend Day of Giving.  Last year 25 worthy charities in our area shared in the results.  In the campaign, over $402,000 was raised for the needy in our communities.

On November 16th, the Coastal Bend Day of Giving will again take place.  This year, over $200,000 in matching funds are available from ten groups: Coastal Bend Community Foundation, Estill Foundation, Paul and Mary Haas Foundation, Laverne and Thomas Howell Foundation, John G. & Marie Stella Kenedy Memorial Foundation, Morris Lichtenstein Foundation, Larry and Pat McNeil Foundation, Blanche Davis Moore Foundation, United Way of the Coastal Bend and the Lawrence Wood Foundation, to benefit 33 charities.
